"Foody's Lodge" occupies the site of the previous cabaret venue and landmark known as "The Point Inn" which dates back to the 1950s which was a key stopping point in the area for food and cabaret. It is closely rooted in local history and deeply connected with the development of the village. The building was totally redesigned, rebuilt and reopened in July 1999. Then in November 2006 the business was purchased by Jason Foody who has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 15 years in the management of some of Ireland's and the world's finest hotels.

"Foody's Lodge now comprises 16 ensuite lodge style bedrooms and 1 master suite with separate living and dining areas, open fire and luxurious bathroom with double jacuzzi bath and separate shower. A 200 seater function room, 70 seater restaurant and new style bar complete this homely guesthouse. Internally the lodge has a homely décor with quality food and service to match. An extensive smokers terrace was also added to the building with panoramic views of Lough Foyle. The relatively small number of bedrooms ensures individual attention at all times.
